Art and Design

At Cudham we use the Kapow Primary curriculum for their fun and engaging Art and Design lessons. This scheme has been designed by experts in their fields and has been carefully crafted to inspire children’s creativity and express their thoughts and ideas of the world. It aims to develop their confidence to experiment and play around with ideas. It also has ample opportunities for the children to create their own works of art.

Pupils have opportunities to learn about art and artists across cultures, as well as throughout history. Using subject specific vocabulary, they evaluate and analyse creative works.  Where possible, lessons will also link with other areas of the curriculum. For example, prehistoric painting linking to Stone, Bronze and Iron Age learning in History.
